I'm an aunt again!

Today at 4:09pm my niece, Victoria Noelle was born.  She weighed 7lbs, 7oz; 21 inches long and is absolutely beautiful.  I spent the day with my nephew while his mom was in labor.  It was so fun.  We went to the zoo (in 95 degree weather) and I dressed in jeans and shirt.  Not my smartest idea, but I did think originally that we'd be indoors in a science center.  Andrew decided otherwise.  But honestly it wasn't so bad.  We bought Victoria a present, a snake sucker, who do you think that was really for?  But Andrew was amazing with her, so sweet.  He kept calling her, his baby.  Can't wait for all to meet her! She's adorable.

Watch what you wish for...

So the next time I send out a wish for information to the universe, I need to caveat that I would like for it to be good news.  We found out this week that the US embassy in Ethiopia has cut in half their visa appointments from 10 to 5.  Which means that while I thought I would be traveling in early August to bring home Gman, it now looks as though it will be early to mid September.  I was ready to wait the months to pass a court date, had mentally prepared for it.  Not mentally prepared to wait almost 4 months after passing court to bring my son home.  For now I will try and wait patiently.  It is supposed to be a temporary reduction of visa dates.  We don't know the full details right now, but am waiting to hear more.

Wish I had some news!

I keep waiting to do another post, thinking that I will have some form of update.  Travel news, or even just able to tell you that he's gained weight or something.  But no new info.  So I keep on waiting.  But on another note, I have great friends.  They threw me an awesome baby shower!  We got so much stuff.  Gman, we've got everything that we need.  Now all I need is you!  Hope to have great news soon!
